Bandai Namco introduces first Closed Beta Test for Tekken 8, ending Tekken 8's CNT.

Tekken 8 – Prepare to Throw Down in the Closed Beta Test!

Greetings, fellow fighters! Brace yourselves for some exciting news from the Tekken world. It’s time to bid farewell to the beloved Tekken 8 CNT graphic (ah, the unintended joys of unfortunate acronyms!) and welcome a new era of testing mayhem. Bandai Namco has announced the arrival of the game’s first Closed Beta Test (CBT), and you best believe it’s going to be an absolute blast!

The CBT Schedule

Mark your calendars because from 8am BST on 20th October until 9am on 23rd October, the Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test will be in full swing. With only a short three-hour downtime scheduled from 9am to 12pm on the 21st, you’ll have ample time to dive into the thrilling world of Tekken 8.

All Aboard and Register!

Calling all Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Steam players! The CBT is open to all, and you don’t even need Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscriptions to join the fun. However, keep in mind that places are limited, so make sure to register your interest beforehand. Registration will close at 8am on 11th October, and successful applicants will receive notifications starting at 8am on the 18th. Oh, and guess what? Successful CBT entrants won’t need to register again. Talk about convenient!

What to Expect in Tekken 8’s Closed Beta Test

In this epic CBT, get ready for some intense online head-to-head competitive play with cross-platform matching. But wait, there’s more! You’ll also have access to the Tekken Fight Lounge, a mind-blowing “immersive lobby” where you can interact with other players, explore various features, and sample different game modes. It’s going to be a hub of excitement!

Within the Fight Lounge, you can create kick-ass custom Avatars, express yourself through chat and emotes, set up matchmaking, and experience the deep customization and variety of game modes in four distinct areas: the Battle Area, Customization Shop, Tekken Dojo, and Beach Area. Unfortunately, the beach-volleyball-themed Tekken Ball mini-game won’t be available in the closed beta, but don’t worry, it’s coming back soon!

Characters and Environments to Explore

As if that wasn’t enough, successful registrants will gain access to a whopping 19 playable characters, so get ready to unleash your inner fighting champion! Prepare to throw down with Jin, Kazuya, Jun, Paul, Law, King, Lars, Jack-8, Xiaoyu, Nina, Leroy, Lili, Asuka, Hwoarang, Bryan, Claudio, Azucena, Raven, and the newly confirmed Feng. It’s an all-star lineup of epic proportions!

And to make your battles even more thrilling, you’ll have the chance to showcase your skills in a variety of playable environments. Brace yourself for bouts in Urban Square (Evening), Yakushima, Rebel Hangar, Sanctum, Arena, and the brand-new stage, Ortiz Farm. Each location will provide its own unique atmosphere to amp up the intensity!

How to Get in on the Action

If you’re itching to join the Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test and unleash your fighting prowess, head over to Bandai Namco’s website and register your interest before 11th October. However, if you prefer to wait for the full release, fear not! Tekken 8 is expected to hit Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC sometime next year.
