Bloodborne-Inspired Lies of P has gone gold.

Lies of P: Pinocchio’s Dark Adventure

After what felt like an eternity of waiting, the highly-anticipated action RPG, Lies of P, finally achieved gold status for its launch on September 19. Developed by the talented team at Round 8 Studio, this Soulslike game has been captivating gamers with its unique retelling of the classic Pinocchio tale.

At first glance, the idea of a dark and gritty version of Pinocchio may seem like a wild and outlandish concept. But with its impressive CGI reveal and its inspiration drawn from the gothic horror masterpiece Bloodborne, Lies of P quickly captured the attention of gamers around the world. Now, with the added bonus of being included in Xbox’s Game Pass from day one, this game is set to make a splash.

Lies of P offers a gloomy setting and atmosphere reminiscent of Bloodborne, along with its punishing fast-paced combat. The four-hour demo, available to the public, has only further intensified the excitement for this game. With September just around the corner, the game’s official Twitter account recently announced that it has gone gold, giving players even more reason to eagerly anticipate its release. The tweet featured a photo of the development team, teasing players with glimpses of the Krat Train Station and hinting at the menacing presence of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood.

However, while the news of a game going gold is cause for celebration, we must remember that it doesn’t guarantee a delay-free launch. We all still remember the fiasco of Cyberpunk 2077, which infamously suffered a significant delay shortly after declaring its gold status. But let’s not dwell on the past! Many games that have come out since then have fared well, so there’s no reason to assume Lies of P will face a similar fate.

It’s worth noting that Lies of P will be launching in a crowded month of game releases. The console exclusive Starfield will be taking off just two weeks prior, and Mortal Kombat 1 is set to enter the fray on the same day as Lies of P’s release. But fear not! Lies of P stands out as the lone major Soulslike release, and its addition to Game Pass ensures it won’t go unnoticed among the sea of new fall video games.

So mark your calendars, fellow gamers! Lies of P is headed to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on September 19. Prepare for a dark and twisted journey through Pinocchio’s world like you’ve never experienced before. And remember, when it comes to Lies of P, there’s no strings attached!
