After what felt like an eternity of waiting, the highly-anticipated action RPG, Lies of P, finally achieved gold status for its launch on September 19. Developed by the talented team at Round 8 Studio, this Soulslike game has been captivating gamers with its unique retelling of the classic Pinocchio tale.
At first glance, the idea of a dark and gritty version of Pinocchio may seem like a wild and outlandish concept. But with its impressive CGI reveal and its inspiration drawn from the gothic horror masterpiece Bloodborne, Lies of P quickly captured the attention of gamers around the world. Now, with the added bonus of being included in Xbox’s Game Pass from day one, this game is set to make a splash.
Lies of P offers a gloomy setting and atmosphere reminiscent of Bloodborne, along with its punishing fast-paced combat. The four-hour demo, available to the public, has only further intensified the excitement for this game. With September just around the corner, the game’s official Twitter account recently announced that it has gone gold, giving players even more reason to eagerly anticipate its release. However, while the news of a game going gold is cause for celebration, we must remember that it doesn’t guarantee a delay-free launch.
