Updated July 18, 2023: Another week, another opportunity to dive into the fantastical world of Destiny 2! Step into this universe where missions, challenges, and rewards reset like clockwork. The closing of the final Iron Banner event for Season of the Deep means it’s time to gear up for the next major event – Solstice of Heroes. Brace yourselves, guardians! Get ready to fight waves of enemies, collect orbs, and unlock amazing rewards and Silver Leaves. And oh, did I mention Solstice Armor glows? Talk about fashion and function!
But wait, there’s more! Destiny 2 players have uncovered a friendly glitch that makes the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon a bit easier than Bungie intended. While it’s Fix-It Felix from Bungie is expected soon, why not take advantage of this glitch that shortens revive timers? Wipe out those enemies, guardians!

Weekly Nightfall and Modifiers
- Nightfall Strike: The Disgraced
- Hero Modifiers:
- Champions: Unstoppable and Barrier
- Hero Modifiers: Extra Shields. Arc, Void, and Solar Shields.
- Galvanized: Combatants have more health and are more difficult to stun.
- Martyr: Exploder units have more health.
- Overcharge: Glaive and Kinetic Weapons when the player’s subclass matches an active Surge element.
- Threat: Arc
- Surge: Arc and Strand.
- Legend Modifiers:
- All previous modifiers.
- Equipment Locked: Unable to change equipment once the mission starts.
- Master Modifiers:
- All previous modifiers.
- Attrition: Regeneration is greatly impaired. Defeating enemies may create wells of Light.
- Master Modifiers: Locked Loadout, Extra Champions, and Extra Shields.
- Grandmaster Modifiers:
- All previous modifiers.
- Fire Pit: When defeated, Acolytes spawn fire pools that cause damage over time.
- Chaff: Radar is disabled.
- Extinguish: If the fireteam falls in a Restricted Zone, everyone is returned to orbit.
- Limited Revives: Limited fireteam revives. Gain additional revives by defeating Champions.
- Pinnacle Reward: Get a 200K score to earn a pinnacle reward.
- Nightfall Weapon: The Swarm (legendary machine gun).
- Vanguard Ops Elemental Modifiers: Void Surge
Season of the Deep Activities
Season of the Deep is here, and it’s bringing a tidal wave of new content! Return to the iconic destination of Titan and dive into 10 weeks of challenges and new activities. Prepare yourselves for the Deep Dive mission, where you’ll take a plunge into the methane ocean and uncover the origin of the Witness. Plus, get ready for the matchmade seasonal activity, Salvage. Dive into sunken Arcology structures to recover Golden Age tech. And guess what? Fishing has made its debut in the franchise. It’s time to reel in some big catches, guardians!
Speaking of new additions, the Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon is making its way into the rotation. Brace yourselves to face Hive Lightbearer enemies and hear the chilling voice lines of the Hive God of War, Xivu Arath. Complete all the triumphs, claim the seal, and earn the title of Aquanaut. Neomuna Activities
The Weekly Mission offers rotating activities from the campaign, with Pinnacle rewards awaiting those who reach a team score of 100,000 points or better. Dive into the Vex Incursion Zone, earn a Terminal Overload Key, and collect exotic gear.
Partition missions reset each week, allowing players to dive into VexNet to chase down major targets.
Raid and Dungeon Rotation
Bungie has moved older Raids and Dungeons to a weekly rotation, making them farmable with updated rewards. Get ready for the challenge as you face the Deep Stone Crypt and explore the Pit of Heresy.

Season of the Deep Weekly Challenges
Season of the Deep introduces new challenges for players to conquer over the course of 10 weeks. From finishing seasonal story content to racking up kills and completing various activities, there’s something for everyone. Complete these objectives to earn engrams, Bright Dust, seasonal gear, and more. Let’s take a look at this week’s challenges:
- Rapid Salvager: Rapidly defeat 30 combatants in Salvage activities.
- Patience Perfected: Catch 5 Legendary or Exotic fish at any Fish Pond.
- Ritual Ornament: Acquire any ornament for the Seasonal ritual weapon.
- Eyeing Iron: Complete 15 Crucible matches. Bonus progress for Iron Banner matches and victories.
- Ethereal Might: Defeat 200 targets with an Arc, Strand, or Void subclass equipped in Gambit. Bonus progress for ability final blows and defeating Guardians.
- Rapid Precision: Get 150 rapid final blows. Bonus progress for every defeated target after the second one.
Crucible and Gambit
Get your competitive spirit in gear as you dive into three Crucible matches to earn a Pinnacle drop. This week, the Relentless playlist brings you the game mode Rift, while the Party playlist offers Team Scorched. And let’s not forget about Gambit!
Legacy Content
The Trove Guardian can be found in Anchor of Light, and the wandering nightmare of the week is Nightmare of Jaxx, Claw of Xivu Arath located at the Hellmouth.
Don’t miss out on Nightmare Activities featuring Ghaul (Rage), Crota (Despair), and Phogoth (Fear).
In the Dares of Eternity, the contestants’ rotation includes Fallen, Hive, and the final round against Zydron.
The Dreaming City’s curse is rising, so find Petra Venj in the Divalian Mist for thrilling missions. This week’s target in the Blind Well is Cragur, the plague-bearing Hive enemy.
Lastly, venture into the Spine of Keres and take on the Shattered Ruins in the Ascendant Challenge.
