Hawezar is where the real action happens in Diablo 4. It’s the final zone that players usually encounter, and it’s full of surprises and challenges. From the hostile dunes of the south to the lush jungles in the northwest, and the bewitching Hawezar Swamp in the northeast, there’s never a dull moment in this zone. You’ll even encounter the majestic Tree of Whispers!
Zarbinzet serves as the main hub in Hawezar, conveniently located near the World Boss arena. This means you’ll be spending a lot of time in this zone, so get comfortable. But don’t worry, it’s not all swamp and mysteries. There’s plenty to do in order to complete the Hawezar Map and unlock its full potential.
Before we dive into the details, let me introduce myself. I’m Erik Petrovich, your guide to conquering Hawezar. I’ve updated this guide on July 20, 2023, to ensure you have the most current information. So let’s get started!
All Altars of Lilith in Hawezar
Altars of Lilith are like hidden power-ups scattered throughout Hawezar. Collecting all 160 of them will grant you permanent boosts to your main stats, Paragon Points, and Max Obols on all characters. Trust me, it’s worth the effort. Plus, once you find them, you don’t have to find them again when you create new characters. It’s a win-win!
I’ve mapped out all 34 Altars of Lilith in Hawezar for your convenience. There’s no “fastest” route, but I recommend starting from either entrance and working your way around the map. Just skip the northwestern stretch because it’s devoid of Altars. Happy hunting!

Hawezar Map Dungeon Locations
Dungeons in Diablo 4 are like mini-adventures within the game. They have specific objectives, enemy types, and a semi-randomized layout. But don’t let that fool you. They’re essential for Glyphs and the Aspects they reward upon completion. Plus, who doesn’t love some dungeon-crawling action?
In Hawezar, you’ll find 23 side Dungeons, conveniently clumped together in various locations. For example, head to the Ruins of Rakhat Keep in the center of the map, and you’ll find three dungeons right next to each other. There’s another cluster near the Crusader’s Monument and a few more near Zarbinzet. Take on these dungeons for some epic loot and a good challenge!
All Strongholds in the Hawezar Map
Strongholds are like bosses in themselves. Each area map in Diablo 4 is home to three Strongholds that reward Renown, Waypoints, and even grant access to certain Dungeons. They may sound intimidating, but trust me, taking them down is totally worth it.
In Hawezar, you’ll encounter three unique Strongholds: The Crusader’s Monument, Eriman’s Pyre, and Vyeresz. Each stronghold has its own challenges and rewards. Be sure to save them for World Tier 4 for an extra XP boost. So gear up, gather your allies, and conquer these strongholds like the strong adventurer you are!
Where to Find Every Hawezar Waypoint
Waypoints are like magical portals that make traversing the vast lands of Diablo 4 much easier. They also grant Renown, so it’s a win-win situation. In Hawezar, there are six Waypoints strategically placed across the zone for your convenience.
To expedite your map completion, prioritize unlocking these Waypoints first. They’re scattered evenly throughout the zone, making your journey much more efficient. Remember, the faster you can travel, the more adventures you can have!
Hawezar Cellar Locations
Cellars in Diablo 4 are like hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. They offer short, one-room side adventures with challenges and rewards. Plus, you never know what surprises you might encounter inside, like special spawns or mastery rewards. It’s like a mini-game within the game!
In Hawezar, there are 29 Cellars to explore. Most of them are conveniently located near the coastline in the southern and eastern parts of the zone. Start from the entrance in Kehjistan and head east, sticking about a screen away from the coastline. This way, you’ll reveal most of the cellars along the way. Then head north, zig-zag through the Swamp, and finish up near the entrance to the Fractured Peaks. Good luck, adventurer!
World Boss Arena Location in Hawezar
World Bosses in Diablo 4 are legendary encounters that can spawn in specific locations. Hawezar is home to one of these epic battles. Get ready to face Ashava the Pestilent, Avarice the Gold-Cursed, and Wandering Death. They’re tough opponents but defeating them is worth it for the weekly Grand Cache rewards.
The Hawezar World Boss arena, known as the Fields of Desecration, is conveniently located southeast of Zarbinzet. It’s surrounded by Altars of Lilith, Cellars, and other side content, making it an adventure-packed area. It’s also a great starting point for your Altar and Cellar hunting in Hawezar. Make sure to check Discord or third-party trackers for spawn notifications, so you don’t miss out on these epic battles!
Unique Bosses in Hawezar Map
Hawezar is home to four elite, uniquely-named bosses. These bosses have a bit of backstory and always spawn in the same area. Defeating them grants you unique loot, including Rare items with flavor text and specific stat modifiers. They’re like treasure troves waiting to be discovered!
In Hawezar, you’ll encounter Enkil in the northeastern Rotspill Delta, Captain Willcocks in the Blightmarsh, the Trembling Mass in the central Fethis Wetlands, and Renn Dayne in the northwestern Dismal Foothills. Seek out these formidable foes for a chance to score some amazing loot to enhance your character!
All Side Quests in Hawezar Map
Side quests in Hawezar are the perfect way to immerse yourself in the world of Diablo 4. They offer not only material rewards but also Gold, XP, and a chunk of Renown. Completing these quests is crucial for reaching full map completion and unlocking all the secrets Hawezar has to offer.
With almost 50 side quests in Hawezar, you’ll have an abundance of adventures to choose from. Whether you’re exploring the witchy nature of the swamp or delving into the Backwater, there’s something for everyone. Start your questing journey in Zarbinzet and work your way around the map in a counter-clockwise direction. This way, you’ll be able to complete all the quests and end up near the border of Kehjistan, ready for your next adventure!
