Diablo 4 Season 1 Update Makes Gearing New Characters Easier
Diablo IV Introduces Exciting Changes to Item Level Requirements
Diablo IV is about to shake things up with its first season, and associate game director Joe Piepiora has revealed a major change to item level requirements that will accompany the Season of the MalGameTopicant patch. Get ready for some exciting news!
In a recent interview with the German site GameStar, Piepiora spilled the beans: the level requirements to don Sacred and Ancestral items in Diablo IV will be capped. Sacred items, which start dropping in World Tier III, will only require a maximum level of 60. On the other hand, Ancestral items, which are exclusively found in World Tier IV, will have a maximum level requirement of 80.
Now, I know the initial reaction might be confusion, but fret not! This change doesn’t mean that lower-level characters can’t wear Sacred items. It means that high-level characters can find gear that is more easily shareable with their lower-level counterparts. Previously, if you had a level 100 character, you would only come across gear that required a level 100 character to equip. That meant you couldn’t pass it on to your stash and save it for a lower-level character. But with this update, if your level 100 Barbarian discovers an awesome Sacred item for your Rogue, all the Rogue needs is to be level 60 to rock it!
This change is a game-changer for all the altaholics out there who are eager to deck out their other characters without the tedious grind. However, it’s important to note that this change only applies to gear earned on the game’s Eternal Realm and cannot be transferred to seasonal characters. So, while it won’t alleviate the grind for seasonal content, it will definitely make alt-gearing a breeze.
Mark your calendars, folks! The Season of the MalGameTopicant is set to arrive on July 20. Get ready to face new and mightier MalGameTopicant enemies, defeat them, and extract their precious MalGameTopicant Hearts! These hearts can then be inserted into your gear, unleashing powerful effects. But before you jump into the seasonal extravaganza, make sure you’ve completed the Diablo IV campaGameTopic on at least one character. To fully enjoy the seasonal content and level up your Season 1 Battle Pass, you’ll need to create a fresh seasonal character.
