The Disastrous Diablo 4 Battle Pass

Hold on to your flaming swords, folks, because the debut Diablo 4 Battle Pass is here, and it’s more underwhelming than a level 1 goblin! Season 1 kicked off with a whimper on July 20, leaving players scratching their heads and rolling their eyes at the measly Platinum payout.

Prepare yourself for disappointment. This so-called “Premium” Battle Pass offers a devilish 666 Platinum – a number that might make you chuckle until you realize it’s not enough to buy even the cheapest in-game item! Seriously, Diablo 4, did you think we were charity cases?

Cue the sound of shattered dreams. Our trusty Diablo 4 grinder confirmed the sad reality: you’ll need to make 10 payments of 60 Platinum, plus a final payout of 66 Platinum at level 84, just to scrape together that measly 666 Platinum. And what can you purchase with that? Absolutely nothing! Zilch! Nada!

Usually, Battle Passes in live-service games are a good deal. You max out those levels, get showered with premium currency, and boom – you can afford the next Battle Pass without touching your wallet. But not in this hellscape of a game!

Needless to say, Diablo 4 players are not amused. One disgruntled player rightly commented, “You’d think with at least 30 items in the store, you could buy one. But nope, not with this company.” Ouch! Blizzard and Activision, looks like you just earned yourselves a spot in the Hall of Shame.

It feels like Diablo 4 can’t catch a break lately. First, players weren’t too thrilled with the 1.1.0 patch, and now this Battle Pass catastrophe. But hey, chin up, Nephalem! Blizzard is hosting a broadcast later today to address all the backlash. Let’s hope they come prepared with a heartfelt apology and a truckload of Platinum.
