Don’t Be Stingy With Your Abilities!
Here’s a friendly reminder: if you’re “saving” your ultimate ability, you’re missing out on building towards a second one. Of course, there are times when it makes sense to hold onto it, like for a climactic battle. However, most of the time, you’re better off letting your abilities rip! Your core abilities recharge quickly, so don’t be afraid to use them. Maximizing your dino-killing potential means cycling through abilities as often as possible.
Be A Supportive Team Member!
When it comes to support units, the Witch Doctor is a slam dunk. It boosts your team’s survivability with potent healing abilities and excellent mobility. In a pinch, you can jump away in the blink of an eye. The Witch Doctor’s stunning weapon creates opportunities for more DPS-focused units to shine. However, keep in mind that support units excel at survivability but may limit your DPS. Consider switching to an Assault unit for early missions unless your team coordinates well with the Witch Doctor’s shock abilities.
First And Foremost Exoprimal Is A Race!
A well-balanced team is great for survivability, but remember that victory hinges on speed. Killing a Carnotaurus without any casualties is impressive, but if the opposing team does it twenty seconds faster, they take the win. Everything in Exoprimal revolves around being faster than your rivals.
While support characters can be effective, there are situations where non-DPS units are inefficient. If your team keeps getting wiped, having a support unit to avoid constant revivals is crucial. Additionally, be efficient between missions—use your abilities to reach the next objective faster. Remember, only one member needs to reach the mission’s start point for it to begin.
Prep All Your Exosuits!
Modules may seem insignificant at first, but when fully leveled and stacked with complementary modules, they make a significant difference. Equip every Exosuit your team may need to maintain flexibility. Make sure you have a fully kitted-out Assault Unit, Support Unit, and Tank Unit at the very least. Choose different Rigs for each Exosuit—the Cannon, Shield, and Aid rigs all offer unique advantages. Swapping Exosuits on the fly with the best gear will give you an edge.
Get Acquainted With The Comm Wheel!
Communication is key, but we understand that not everyone enjoys using voice chat. That’s where the Comm Wheel comes in handy. While basic symbols may not allow for nuanced commands, you can request healing and use the “gather up” icon to call teammates to important areas. Getting your team’s attention with the Comm Wheel is invaluable, especially for gathering energy and moving the data key along.
Keep Your Eye On The Minimap!
It’s time for the easiest way to level up your game—pay attention to the minimap! Instead of chasing dinosaurs or looking for portals, knowing where the dinosaurs are spawning from and being prepared is a huge advantage. The minimap tells you all you need to know about the location and movements of dinosaurs. Stay on top of every wave and stay ahead of the game.
Use Your Opponents’ Ghosts To Your Advantage!
In Exoprimal, it’s a race to the finish line. After completing a mission, you’ll catch a glimpse of your opponents. This isn’t just for show—use this information to your advantage. The ghosts will show you the next objective if you’re behind. Heading to the other team’s position can give you a head start and help you initialize the next mission quicker. It also gives you a chance to counterpick their Exosuits in the final conflict.

While your dino-destroying enthusiasm is commendable, remember that completing objectives is crucial. If you’re shooting raptors half a mile away from where you’re supposed to be, you’re not helping the team. Focus on being where you’re needed, especially when it comes to target areas for the Data Cube and defending markers. Farming raptors won’t win matches—playing as a team will.
Being Vigilante When Fighting Other Players!
The Vigilante Exosuit may not be ideal for hordes of dinos, but it’s the most potent when facing off against players. With a sniper rifle and quick elimination abilities, the Vigilante is perfect for PvP encounters and handling larger threats like the Carnotaurus. Save the Vigilante for late-game encounters and rival battles. If you have the Deluxe Edition, make use of it from the start. Just be patient and reach player level 40 to unlock it.
Healers And Tanks Can Be Gentle Leaders!
If you want your rogue team members to play more effectively, use healing circles or protective domes to incentivize them. Those glowy domes are hard to resist for self-motivated players, providing healing or protection.
