Time to go back to the land of the elves and see how it has changed in God of War Ragnarok. If you are expecting peace, love, and groovy vibes, I’m afraid we have some not-so-great news for you. Seems like the Light Elves being in power didn’t suddenly bring about peace in the land.
But don’t worry, we’ve got your back! In this guide, we’ll help you navigate the labyrinthine Tower Of Light, fight off a whole assortment of Elves, and solve some tricky puzzles to find that sweet loot. So let’s dive in and kick some elf butt!

The Strond
You’ll start off in the Strond, the desert of Alfheim. Take a moment to appreciate the fine literature on the statue – it’s like the elves’ version of “Elfies for Dummies.” Now, follow Atreus and Tyr as they lead you up the rocky ledges.
Once you reach a clearing with a view of the desert below, take a leap of faith and hop down to the ledge below you. Don’t worry, the view is worth it!

Hop back onto the main path and crawl through the crevice to reunite with your companions. It’s like a family reunion, but with more swords and less awkward small talk.
As Atreus mentions hearing an animal in the distance, you’ll notice another ledge you can hop down to. And guess what? There’s a Nornir Chest waiting for you! The first rune is conveniently located to the left of the chest, just waiting to be destroyed. Light it up with your Blades of Chaos and claim your reward.
On the opposite end of the cave, there’s another hidden brazier up above. The final brazier is just over the ledge on the far right side. Light them up, open the chest, and enjoy your Horn of Blood Mead. Cheers!
Continue on the path until you come across a giant tree. Take a moment to appreciate the ravishing beauty of nature before shooting down the raven sitting on one of the branches. Sorry, birdie, you won’t be needing those wings anymore.
Prepare yourself for a stone-throwing adventure! Aim your axe at the Twilight Stones scattered around the fence, and watch as the light beams guide your axe’s path. It’s like playing darts, but instead of a pub, you’re in an ancient elven realm. Aim for the stone on the other end of the fence and break it open. Take that, Twilight Stone fence!
Now get ready for some Wretches. Yes, they are here too. Maybe they just wanted to join in on the fun. Or maybe they just have a thing for ambushes. Either way, show them who’s boss and keep moving forward.
After dealing with the Wretches, there’s another chest waiting for you. Grab your loot and climb back up, because there’s more path to explore. You’ll soon come face to face with your first elf, armed with dual-wielding katanas. It’s like a samurai movie, but with more axe-swinging. Parry their sword slashes, hack ’em up with your axe, and show them who’s the true ninja in town.
Once you’ve vanquished the elves, forge ahead. You’ll stumble upon an artifact near a second Nornir Chest. Unfortunately, this chest is off-limits for now, as you’re missing the necessary tool to open it. But worry not, there’s more adventure to come!
You’ll soon come across a locked door that requires some fancy wheel turning. Listen to Atreus and follow his instructions to unlock the mystery behind the door. Who needs keys when you have a giant wheel?
Oh, another wall of light? No problem! Climb up to the area behind the Twilight Stone, travel to the right side, pick up a poem on the ground (because poetry is always a good distraction), and aim your axe. Watch as the stone ricochets and destroys the crystal above the door. No need for an electrician here, you’ve got the power!
The Temple Of Light
Keep following the main path, and you’ll spot a chest just waiting to be looted. Who says temples can’t have good loot? At the next light wall, aim for the Twilight Stone to the left, and continue forward. Kill some elves and swing across the gap like the action hero you are.
Once you cross the gap, head to your left to discover a hidden chest tucked away. Who needs treasure maps when you have a good sense of exploration? Back on the main path, there’s another chest waiting for you in the open. Don’t forget to stock up on goodies!
As you make your way up a giant stone staircase, keep an eye out for a raven perched on a branch. Time to show off your archery skills and take it out. And speaking of branches, you’ll soon encounter a fence surrounded by Twilight Stones. Get ready to show off your stone-throwing skills once again!
Aim your axe at the Twilight Stone to create a path of light, guiding your axe’s trajectory. Remember, when the beam of light turns blue, you’re locked and loaded. Aim for the Twilight Stone on the other end of the fence through the hole, and voila! Fence demolished, problem solved. It’s like a game of “axe-a-mole.”
Now it’s time to face some Wretches. They just can’t get enough of you, can they? Well, show them why messing with you is a bad idea. Axe-swinging, shield-bashing, and general badassery should do the trick.
Boss Battle: Alva
Ah, the moment you’ve been waiting for! It’s time to face off against Alva, the ultimate combination of a Light Elf and a Light Elf Warrior. She’s fast, she’s fierce, and she’s ready to give you a run for your money. But fear not, for you are Kratos, the God of War!
Alva has some deadly tricks up her sleeves. Watch out for her lightning-fast combos and glaive projectiles. But don’t worry, you’ve got some tricks too. Stagger her attacks with a well-timed shield bash, parry like a pro, and unleash devastating combos to make her regret ever challenging you.
Keep an eye out for her unblockable cross-shaped wave of energy. It may look fancy, but it’s nothing you can’t dodge. Show off your agility and masterful dodging skills to make her attacks feel like a gentle breeze.
Remember, your shield bash is your best friend in this battle. When the blue indicator appears, stun her and unleash a series of punishing attacks. And when she starts healing, use your shield bash to interrupt her and finish her off in style. It’s like pushing a bully off the swing set. No mercy!
Once you’ve triumphed over Alva, brace yourself for a series of unfortunate events that will lead you back to The Strond. But don’t worry, there’s one last treasure chest waiting for you on your right, just as you exit the temple. After that, it’s time to fight your way through waves of Dark Elves. No treasures, just pure survival.
And just like that, you can finally bid farewell to this elven escapade. It’s been a wild ride, but you’ve conquered the Tower Of Light, solved puzzles, defeated countless elves, and emerged victorious. Now, on to the next adventure!
