Abundant Ebon Deer in Honkai: Star Rail is originally just a regular enemy in version 1.0, but they leveled up their game and are now available as a boss in the Simulated Universe starting from version 1.2. You gotta love those ambitious deer!
To face the powerful Abundant Ebon Deer at its full strength, players need to reach Simulated Universe World 7 in Honkai: Star Rail. But hey, don’t give up! You’ll get there after beating World 5 and 6. Once you fulfill the prerequisite, it’s time to understand the mechanics of this majestic creature. Because if you don’t, well… it’s gonna be a death sentence instead of a thrilling adventure for our Trailblazers.
How To Beat Abundant Ebon Deer In Honkai: Star Rail
The Abundant Ebon Deer in Honkai: Star Rail Trailblaze mission and Forgotten Hall consists of two phases. However, in Simulated Universe World 7, they got a major upgrade and now have three phases. Talk about raising the stakes!
But fret not! Although the fight gets tougher, their weaknesses remain the same. The boss is still weak to Fire, Ice, and Quantum, and they have 420 Toughness. Plus, they’re only 50% resistant to Frozen and Imprisonment debuffs. So, if you bring the heat, the chill, or the quantum mechanics, you’ll have a good shot at winning.
Now, let’s look at the boss’s skills that they use throughout all phases: – Deal Lightning damage to a single target – Deal Wind damage to everyone – The more buffs the Abundant Ebon Deer gains, the more damage they deal. The boss and their Branches really know how to flex their strength.

Phase 1
- Phase-exclusive skill: Summons 2 Ambrosial Arbor Branches – “Twig of Wintry Wind” or “Twig of Marple Leaf”
At the start of the first phase, the Abundant Ebon Deer will summon two branches, either the “Twig of Wintry Wind” or the “Twig of Marple Leaf”. Later on, they may summon the other kind too, just to keep things interesting.
“Twig of Wintry Wind” – Weakness: Ice, Quantum, Imaginary – Toughness: 90 – Special ability: Deals Wind damage to a single target and has the power to make that target so outraged that they can’t take any action and will unleash a basic attack against a random unit from the Abundant Ebon Deer’s side. Talk about losing control!
“Twig of Marple Leaf” – Weakness: Fire, Quantum – Toughness: 90 – Special ability: This branch enhances the Abundant Ebon Deer and boosts their attack power. It can also enter a Counter state, where it deals Lightning damage when attacked. That’s some spicy self-defense!
Phase 2
- Phase-exclusive skill: At the start of the phase, summons 2 Twigs of Marple Leaf, 1 Twig of Wintry Wind, and 1 Twig of Glorious Blooms. The boss can also restore their HP by a decent amount.
In phase 2, the Abundant Ebon Deer becomes even trickier. They now possess double recovery skills. One is from their own moveset, while the other comes from the Twig of Glorious Blooms. The boss just doesn’t want to go down without a fight, huh?
“Twig of Glorious Blooms” – Weakness: Ice, Imaginary – Toughness: 90 – Special ability: Restores all allies’ HP. Talk about playing nurse!
Phase 3
- Phase-exclusive skill: At the start of the phase, summons 2 Twigs of Lavish Fruits, 1 Twig of Marple Leaf, and 1 Twig of Wintry Wind. The boss can later increase their DEF and remove Weakness for a limited number of turns.
In the final phase, the Abundant Ebon Deer shows their true colors. They become an offensive force to reckon with. The two Twigs of Lavish Fruits won’t attack on their own, but they will bear Lavish Fruits. Once two of these fruits are produced, the Deer immediately uses the devastating move Flamboyant Gore, which deals massive Lightning damage to the entire team. And the more Branches on the field, the more destruction it causes! It’s like a fireworks show, but with pain and suffering instead of oohs and aahs.
Since the Twigs of Lavish Fruits enable the Abundant Ebon Deer’s ultimate move, it’s crucial to prioritize destroying these Branches. Oh, and don’t forget, the boss can remove their Weakness too, so don’t rely too much on controlling them to avoid the Flamboyant Gore. It’s better to be safe than electrified!
“Twig of Lavish Fruits” – Weakness: Fire, Quantum, Imaginary – Toughness: 120 – Special ability: Produces Lavish Fruits for the boss to use for their Flamboyant Gore move. Now that’s fruitful cooperation! – Make sure to bring the heat, quantum powers, and imagination against these golden branches. They’ll be hanging all kinds of fruits when their ultimate is ready.
Forgotten Hall Abundant Ebon Deer In Honkai: Star Rail
In the Forgotten Hall, the Abundant Ebon Deer only comes in two phases. But don’t let that fool you, they’re still a force to be reckoned with. They may not have all the fancy tricks from the Simulated Universe version, but they can still deliver a thunderstorm of Lightning damage and a gust of Wind damage to keep you on your toes.
Team Composition To Beat Abundant Ebon Deer In Honkai: Star Rail
Facing the Abundant Ebon Deer in Honkai: Star Rail requires some strategizing. With all the different forces at play, you need to know how to counter each branch. Prepare yourself for the ultimate showdown!
First and foremost, you’ll need a cleanser to remove the Outrage debuff given by the Wintry Wind. It’s not a good look for your team when they start attacking themselves in blind rage. Then, make sure to bring some Fire or Quantum powers to reduce the Toughness of both the boss and the Branches. Ice and Imaginary weaknesses are also helpful, just not as crucial as Fire and Quantum.
Here are a few sample team compositions to get you started: – Seele + Himeko + Asta or Pela + Luocha – Yanqing + Hook + Natasha + Fire Trailblazer – Fire Trailblazer + March 7th + Natasha + Qingque or Herta
