Persona 3 Reload Beating Demented Knight

To emerge victorious against the Demented Knight duo of the Tziah Block in Persona 3 Reload, we need to master their weaknesses and strategies. It’s time to optimize our team composition by leveraging the unique abilities of our party members. Mitsuru’s freezing abilities, Koromaru’s resistance, and Akihiko’s shocking attacks will be our key to success!

Demented Knight Affinity Chart And Skills

Demented Knight Affinity

The two Demented Knights are no pushovers. They will buff each other and use alternating elemental attacks before launching their final technique to take down your team. Let’s take a look at their affinities and weaknesses:

  • Slash: Normal
  • Strike: Normal
  • Pierce: Null
  • Fire: Null
  • Ice: Normal
  • Elec.: Normal
  • Wind: Weak
  • Light: Normal
  • Dark: Normal
  • Almi.: Normal

Both Demented Knights have an interesting skill set that revolves around chipping away at your entire party’s health. They use two different area-of-effect skills, Mazionga and Maeiga, to keep the pressure on. Thankfully, they are weak to Wind, while they nullify Pierce and Fire damage.

Beware, though! They both know Matarukaja and will open with it to boost their attack. They’ll only use it again if the buff falls off. Once they’ve landed a few attacks, they will follow up with Concentrate and then unleash their devastating Eigaon move. This combination is deadly if you don’t debuff them first!

Demented Knight Battle Guide

Demented Knight

The floor guardians of floor 161 of Tartarus, the Demented Knights, are ready to hold your team hostage. The recommended level for this boss is around level 52. Let’s form our team wisely to counter their attacks.

Unfortunately, Yukari is weak to Electric damage, which the Demented Knights will use almost every other turn. Therefore, for this fight, we’ll leave her out. Junpei is also out of the running since the bosses nullify Piercing and Fire damage. Ken and Aigis won’t be of much help either, as both bosses use a mixture of Electric and Dark attacks.

To counter these formidable foes, our team will consist of Koromaru, Akihiko, and Mitsuru. The Protagonist will need to fill the shoes of the Wind skill user. And remember, as the Demented Knights have the chance to inflict shock on your team, don’t forget to bring along Baisudi Gems, Maibaisudi Gems, Amrita Gems, or Amrita Sodas for recovery.

Mitsuru Will Try To Freeze The Duo

Mitsuru Freezing the Demented Knight

Mitsuru has neutral affinity interactions with both Demented Knights. Her priority is to do as much damage as possible and try to inflict Freeze since her Persona has Freeze Boost. Have Mitsuru cast Mabufula every time it’s her turn. If only one of the Demented Knights is alive, use Bufudyne instead.

Koromaru Nullifies Dark Damage

Koromaru is an invaluable member of our team because he nullifies damage from two of the three attacking skills that the Demented Knights use, including their ultimate ability, Eigaon. Use Koromaru’s Revolution to boost Akihiko’s attacks. In subsequent turns, use Virus Breath, which does slightly more damage than Maeiga.

Akihiko Will Use Strikes And Debuffs

Both bosses will try to have Matarukaja up as much as possible. It’s crucial to use Dekaja or Matarunda to debuff them. Luckily, Akihiko has Matarunda. He also nullifies all Electric damage. While the bosses are immune to being shocked, we can capitalize on Koromaru’s Revolution and use Gigantic Fist to attempt critical strikes.

On Akihiko’s turn, prioritize using Matarunda if either of the following conditions has been met: 1. Either Demented Knight has an active Matarukaja Buff. 2. The Demented Knights have cast Concentrate the turn prior and have not been debuffed yet.

Otherwise, have Akihiko use Gigantic Fist for damage. If any team members need healing, use his Diarama on them instead.

Best Persona For The Protagonist

Succubus Persona

The Protagonist will have to fill in for Yukari. Choose a strong Wind skill Persona for the Protagonist to guarantee opportunities for All-Out attacks each round. Here are some of the best options at this level:

  • Cu Chulainn, Tower Arcana: This persona innately knows Dekaja and Matarukaja. It has resistance to Electric damage and learns Magarula at level 44.
  • Orobas, Magician Arcana: Orobas innately knows Magarula and resists Dark damage. It also learns Wind Boost at level 40 and Masukukaja at level 42.
  • Titania, Lovers Arcana: Titania has a base Magic stat of 45. She learns Magarula at level 50 and Concentrate at level 53.

How To Fuse A Persona Immune To Demented Knight

Demented Knight Healing the Protagonist

If you want to guarantee victory against this boss, you can create a Persona via fusing that is immune to both Electric and Dark attacks. Keep in mind that this fusion can be costly, so proceed with caution.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Obtain the Sun Arcana Persona, Thunderbird, from Tziah Block Part One. Raise it to level 41 so that it learns the passive skill Null Elec.
  2. Obtain a Titania from Tziah Block Part Two. Raise it to level 50, making sure it learns the active skill Magarula.
  3. Fuse the Thunderbird and the Titania, ensuring that the resulting Persona inherits the passive skill Null Elec and the active skill Magarula.

This fusion will result in the Devil Arcana Persona, Succubus. Succubus nullifies Electric damage, absorbs Dark damage, and has access to Magarula. With this Persona, you can use Magarula every turn for a free All-Out attack, and you won’t get hit by the boss!

It’s time to strategize and unleash your team’s true potential against the Demented Knights in Persona 3 Reload. Good luck, and may the personas be with you!
