Get Ready for Yasuo, the Unforgiven, in Project L!

Riot Games has just unveiled the next Champion joining the lineup of their free-to-play fighting game, Project L. And guess who it is? None other than Yasuo, the Unforgiven! If you’re an avid League player, the addition of Yasuo shouldn’t come as a shock. He’s one of the most popular (and sometimes controversial) Champions in League, after all. But hey, even if you’ve cursed his name a few times, Yasuo’s stylish swordplay might just win you over. Prepare to feel like a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 player who mained Vergil!

According to Alex Jaffe, the lead champion designer on Project L, Yasuo is “a master swordsman who manipulates the wind with his blade.” But that’s not all – he can effortlessly switch between different stances, making him versatile in any situation. From mind-blowing mix-ups to epic aerial combos, this guy has it all. And let’s not forget his wind wall defense and those huge normals that dominate the neutral game. Yasuo is the total package!

In addition to the Yasuo reveal, Riot’s trailer also highlights the other playable heroes in Project L: Ahri, Darius, and Ekko. Jaffe describes Darius as a powerhouse who hits like a freight train, excelling in both offense and mid-range combat. Ekko, on the other hand, wields time-based powers that grant him the ability to “call for a do-over.” As for Ahri, she’s a terrifying rushdown character who dominates the air while bombarding her opponents from all angles. And her unique resource, Foxfire, adds a whole new layer to her relentless pressure. Trust us, the high lows and left-rights will keep you guessing!

If the initial information overload left you feeling dazed and confused, don’t worry! Riot has released another video that breaks down the basics of playing Project L in a straightforward and simple manner.

And don’t forget, Yasuo, Ahri, Darius, and Ekko are just the beginning. Riot has already confirmed that fan-favorites Jinx, Katarina, and Illaoi will join the roster of Project L. They are currently under development, so keep your eyes peeled for more exciting announcements!

Project L was first announced back in 2019 and is being developed by the talented team at Radiant Entertainment, known for their work on the canceled fighting game, Rising Thunder. In July, Riot Games treated us to a glimpse of gameplay from Project L, showcasing its unique 2v2 tag-team battles and the innovative Fuse system. With various formats available, including 1v1, 1v2, and 2v2, this game is taking the fighting genre to a whole new level!

So gear up, get ready, and prepare to unleash your inner champion in Project L! It’s going to be an epic showdown like no other. Don’t miss out!
