He went on to create the Order of the Black Worm, a cult dedicated to the fine art of necromancy. And to top it all off, Mannimarco became a lich—an exceptionally powerful undead being.
Though Mannimarco didn’t leave behind a huge treasure trove, he did discard a few noteworthy items: the Staff of Worms, the Bloodworm Helm, and the Necromancer’s Amulet. And guess what? In Skyrim’s Anniversary Edition, you can get your hands on two of these artifacts during the Dreams of the Dead quest.
To embark on this hauntingly fun quest, head to Mara’s Pond, southwest of Windhelm. Look for a mysterious wooden door nestled into the side of a mountain—that’s your ticket to Gallows Hall. As you enter, prepare yourself for a House of Horrors-style experience. Mist, flying objects, the whole shebang. From here, you’ll face a series of puzzles that will put your wit to the test and ultimately reward you with Mannimarco’s prized possessions.

The staff, true to its necromantic nature, allows you to reanimate fallen NPCs with the Dead Thrall spell—hello, undead allies! Sadly, no animating animals, though.
