While Dandelion’s womanizing ways have often gotten him into trouble more often than not, he occasionally stumbles upon valuable information during his escapades. It’s a tried-and-tested information-gathering strategy in The Witcher 3. In this particular quest, Geralt embarks on a Skellige Treasure Hunt: Ironsides’ Treasure.
This quest takes place on an unmarked island to the southwest of the Grotto Fast Travel point. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can swim across siren-infested waters, but I highly recommend finding a boat. Nobody wants to end up as a mermaid’s lunch!
Once you reach the island, keep an eye out for a crashed boat on the rocks. It’s a clear sign that you’re on the right track. Get closer to the boat, and you’ll stumble upon a skeleton holding a letter that reveals the whereabouts of the sunken treasure. Talk about a pirate’s booty blunder!
Ready for some underwater adventure? The sunken chest is not far from the crash site. Just follow the quest marker and dive into the depths of the sea. Once you’re in the center of the search area, use Geralt’s Witcher Senses to identify the chest. It shouldn’t be too hard to spot since it will be highlighted in red. Who needs a metal detector when you have Witcher Senses, right?
As soon as you crack open the chest, the quest will come to a close, and you’ll be rewarded with the glorious contents that await you inside. Good luck and happy treasure hunting!
