Ubisoft Bordeaux Declares: No DLC or Post-Launch Shenanigans for Assassin’s Creed Mirage!
Ubisoft Bordeaux, the masterminds behind the highly anticipated game Assassin’s Creed Mirage, have dropped a bombshell during an AMA session on Reddit. When asked about the possibility of DLC or extensive post-launch content, the creative director, Stephane Boudon, had two words for us: “Not happening!”
We all know that feeling of finishing a game and wishing there was more to explore, right? Well, unfortunately, Mirage won’t be offering that option—at least, not for now. But hey, don’t despair just yet! There’s still a whole load of awesome stuff to look forward to in this game.
For starters, Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes us back in time to ninth-century Baghdad, where we follow the epic journey of Basim, a street-smart thief turned full-fledged assassin. And let me tell you, this game is going to rock your socks off!
Ubisoft has gone all out with the historical accuracy of Mirage, giving us a chance to immerse ourselves in the rich tapestry of Baghdad’s past. The game maps may not be as sprawling as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but they pack a punch. Plus, hold on to your seats, because Ubisoft has partnered with OWO to create a mind-blowing gaming suit that lets you feel every punch and parkour move Basim makes. Talk about getting into the game!
Now, I know the absence of DLC might sound disappointing, but fear not, my fellow assassins. Ubisoft has heard our cries for more Assassin’s Creed goodness and has some tricks up its sleeve. They’re diverting more resources into the franchise, which means we have a mobile game in the works, along with the series’ very first virtual reality experience called Nexus VR. So, while Mirage might not have extra content, there’s a whole treasure trove of games on the horizon.

Mark your calendars, because the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage is slated for October 12th, and it’s coming to PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox. Get ready to lose yourself in the captivating world of ninth-century Baghdad as you unleash your inner assassin. It’s time to take down the Templars and create history, my friends!
