Onaga: The Dragon King Returns?
Onaga may not be the most expected choice as a returning villain, but he is undeniably a terrifying foe. The former ruler of Outworld, thought to be unbeatable, seeks to reclaim everything that he believes is rightfully his. His power and ruthlessness make him a threat to heroes and villains alike.
With characters like Quan Chi and Tanya already confirmed for Mortal Kombat 1, it’s possible that Onaga could make a fearsome appearance. This Dragon King would be an intimidating enemy and a hidden threat in the new universe.
Sheeva: The Queen of the Shokan Returns?
While Goro is confirmed to return as a cameo character, there’s still no playable Shokan fighter on the roster. Sheeva, the queen of the Shokan, could be the perfect addition. Unlike Goro, Sheeva has had more varied roles, making her an intriguing character.
Sheeva’s return could inject new levels of intrigue into Mortal Kombat 1. As an important and powerful figure, she deserves a prominent role in the story.
Shinnok: The Terrifying God of Pure Evil
If Shang Tsung isn’t the main villain of Mortal Kombat 1, then we should be prepared for a bigger threat to emerge. Shinnok, an evil god with a thirst for destruction, is a terrifying presence. His fellow gods imprisoned him in Netherrealm due to his immense villainy.

While she wasn’t playable in Mortal Kombat 11, her comeback is not out of the realm of possibility. With her knowledge of a past defeat, seeking revenge might be on Kronika’s agenda. As the most recent villain in the series, it’s hard to forget her, making her potential return quite intriguing.
There are still more fighters to be revealed in Mortal Kombat 1, and we can only hope that some of the series’ sGameTopicificant missing characters find their way into the game. While most of the beloved characters are included, there are still some heavy hitters who deserve a spot on the roster.
