Apex Legends, the popular battle royale game, had quite the surprise during a recent Ranked match. In the midst of a heated skirmish, the highest-ranked player, Facilitatur, was unexpectedly banned for cheating. Talk about a plot twist! While cheating in Apex Legends is unfortunately nothing new, having the top player be a cheater definitely raises eyebrows. But fear not, dear players, for justice has finally been served and Facilitatur’s reign of dishonesty has come to an end.
Facilitatur has been a notorious name in the Apex Legends community for quite some time. This player first gained notoriety on Xbox, climbing near the top of the ranks. However, accusations of hacks forced Facilitatur and their duo partner, Invulnerable, to switch to PC. Surprisingly, Facilitatur managed to climb back up the ranks and even reached the number one spot. But their dubious success drew increased scrutiny from the community and caught the attention of Respawn Entertainment.
In a recent video shared by Apex Legends News, the moment of truth unfolds. RealLegendJuice, a content creator, was in the middle of a battle, fighting alongside their squad. It all went down near Production Yard on the Broken Moon map. RealLegendJuice was tragically knocked down by none other than Facilitatur, who was playing the newly reworked legend, Revenant. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, the unexpected happened. Facilitatur’s Revenant vanished into thin air, and a message in the kill feed confirmed their banishment from the game. Justice served, right on the battlefield!
It’s interesting to note that many players had already voiced their concerns about Facilitatur and called for their banishment. HisWattson, a popular content creator and former pro player, had been raising eyebrows about Facilitatur’s ascent to the top of the PC rankings. HisWattson even claimed that it was impossible to catch Facilitatur off guard, suggesting something fishy was going on.
While getting rid of cheaters in the competitive playlist is undoubtedly a positive step, it remains to be seen how the Ranked mode will adapt in the coming weeks. Balancing the Ranked system has been a challenge for Respawn Entertainment, trying to find a solution that satisfies the majority of players. Let’s hope that moving forward, the top ranks of Apex Legends will be filled with honest players who truly deserve their place.
