Baldur’s Gate 3 DLC: When Will it Arrive? The Mysterious Future of Larian Studios
It’s the question on every fan’s lips: When will Baldur’s Gate 3 DLC be released? I mean, seriously, the base game itself already has enough content to consume our lives for hundreds of hours. But fear not, fellow adventurers, for we have some insights into the elusive plans of Larian Studios.
Sweating with anticipation, we managed to squeeze out a few drops of information from Tom Butler, a senior product manager at Larian Studios during our delightful chat at gamescom 2023.
What’s the focus right now?
So, here’s the deal: Larian Studios is currently laser-focused on the upcoming PS5 launch of Baldur’s Gate 3. They want to ensure a smooth and epic experience for all those console gamers out there. After that, they’ll be working hard to patch any issues across all platforms. So, don’t hold your breath for immediate expansion content.
But what comes after?
Now, here’s where things get a bit hazy. According to Tom Butler, once they’ve finished patching, the team plans to take a well-deserved holiday. Can you blame them? After three years of early access and intense development, they deserve to recharge and regroup. Only then will they dive into discussions about the future of Baldur’s Gate 3. Exciting, right? They genuinely want to do more, they just haven’t quite figured out what that “more” will be.
Xbox release hiccups and a well-deserved vacation

DLC, Expansion, and the Mystery of Microtransactions
If you’re worried about Baldur’s Gate 3 turning into a microtransaction nightmare, fret not!
