How To Get The Sewer-Gaol Key
Before you can proceed with Dung Eater’s questline, you need to make sure you have an item called Seedbed Curse. It might sound a bit macabre, but trust me, it’s essential. To get your hands on this unique item, head to the Leyndell, Royal Capital, and unlock the East Capital Rampart. From there, follow the rampart wall until you encounter a fiery enemy. Take a leap of faith to the right and find yourself in a doorway. Take the nearby lift downward, enter the golden-domed building, and climb up the ladder on the right. Finally, ascend the winding stairway to the top floor and claim the Seedbed Curse from a corpse sitting in a chair. Creepy, but effective!
With the Seedbed Curse in hand, return to Dung Eater. Offering him this item will unveil a new dialogue option, and he’ll reward your resourcefulness with the Sewer-Gaol Key. Now you’re one step closer to completion and all the possible endings!
Where To Use The Sewer-Gaol Key In Elden Ring
To put the Sewer-Gaol Key to use, head to the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace in Leyndell, Royal Capital. From there, descend the nearby stairs, go through the door, and run along the edge of the balcony. Take a leap of faith into the courtyard below and travel north until you find a well tucked away in a small alcove. Prepare yourself for a descent into the sewers and a thrilling journey to the door that eagerly awaits the Sewer-Gaol Key.

As you reach the bottom of the well, enter the first door on the left and continue along the path until you reach the Subterranean Shunning Grounds. Descend the stairs, navigate through the rats, and pass through another door. Take a left from there and find a ladder leading downward. Once you drop down, enter the first door on the left to discover another Site of Grace. Keep moving forward, past a formidable enemy, until you spot some grates in the floor. Drop down through the missing grate and venture northwest through the tunnel, bravely facing off against rats and monstrous plants.
At the end of this thrilling journey lies a ladder going upward. Ascend to the top and find yourself in a new open area. Take an immediate right and prepare for the grand finale. Behind the barred door awaits your key to success, the Sewer-Gaol Key. Unlock the door and celebrate your triumph!
