There is a lot to explore and do in Genshin Impact’s newest region, Fontaine. It can be a bit overwhelming, but fear not! We’re here to help you unlock two important features: Fontaine Daily Commissions and the Fontaine Reputation System. These will not only lead to achievement completion, but also reward you with new gadgets and more exciting content.
How to Unlock Daily Commissions in Fontaine
To unlock Fontaine Daily Commissions, the first step is to complete Act 2 of the Fontaine Archon Quest: “As Light Rain Falls Without Reason.” Of course, this requires you to finish Act 1: “Prelude of Blancheur and Noirceur.” Once Act 2 is completed, a World Quest called “Another Horizon of Adventure” will unlock automatically. All you need to do is speak to Katheryne at the Fontaine Adventurer’s Guild, located in the northeast of the Court of Fontaine. Once you’ve chatted with her, the quest will be completed, and Fontaine Daily Commissions will be available starting with the next server reset!
How to Change Daily Commission Location
If you enjoy the randomness of Daily Commissions, then there’s a chance you might get them in Fontaine now that they’ve been unlocked in the Hydro nation. However, if you want to ensure that your Daily Commissions take place in Fontaine, you can easily set the region to Fontaine. Navigate to the Adventurer Handbook menu, select the second tab labeled “Commissions,” and choose Fontaine from the region dropdown in the top right. Once you’ve made this selection, all your Daily Commissions will take place in Fontaine until you decide to change the setting again.
How to Unlock the Fontaine Reputation System
Unlocking the Fontaine Reputation System is just as simple. After completing Act 2 of the Fontaine Archon Quest, “As Light Rain Falls Without Reason,” you will automatically receive the “Steambird Interview” quest. To complete this quest, head over to the Steambird headquarters, located on the west side of the Court of Fontaine. Speak with Euphrasie, the newspaper’s Chief Editor, and after a brief conversation, she’ll grant you access to the Reputation system. This system includes earning Reputation points through World Exploration, Quest completion, Bounties, and Requests.
It’s important to note that you won’t be able to accept Requests or Bounties until you reach Fontaine Reputation Level 2, which requires 450 Reputation points. The two available acts of the Archon Quest will reward 100 points each, so you’ll already have at least 200 points if you’ve completed them. The remaining 250 points can be obtained through world exploration and completing various World Quests, usually worth 20 points each.
