Learn everything there is to know about farming and gardening so you can more easily help your villagers and earn money. There’s no way to avoid farming in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but don’t worry, it’s not as daunting as it sounds. In fact, it can be quite relaxing and enjoyable. Plus, you get to decorate your surroundings however you please!

To get started with farming, all you need is a shovel, a watering can, and some seeds. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how farming works:
- Get yourself some seeds. You can find them in various locations throughout the game.
- Dig some holes using the shovel and place the seeds inside.
- If you’ve dug up more than one hole, you can keep holding down the Place button to keep putting seeds inside. The same goes for watering the seeds afterward (this will save you a considerable amount of time).
- After all the seeds have been placed, get out your watering can and water them all.
- Then, all you have to do is wait for them to grow. In your Collections tab, you can check how long each crop takes until they’re ready for harvest.

But wait, there’s more! You can also unlock new types of crops by building Goofy Stalls in different regions. Each upgrade will add a new crop type. Here’s where you can find each crop:
| Crop | Stall Location |
|---|---|
| Carrot | Peaceful Meadow |
| Lettuce | Peaceful Meadow |
| Wheat | Peaceful Meadow |
| Tomato | Dazzle Beach |
| Corn | Dazzle Beach |
| Sugarcane | Dazzle Beach |
| Onion | Forest of Valor |
| Bell Pepper | Forest of Valor |
| Canola | Forest of Valor |
| Okra | Glade of Trust |
| Rice | Glade of Trust |
| Spinach | Glade of Trust |
| Cotton | Sunlit Plateau |
| Soya | Sunlit Plateau |
| Zucchini | Sunlit Plateau |
| Eggplant | Frosted Heights |
| Asparagus | Frosted Heights |
| Cucumber | Frosted Heights |
| Potato | Forgotten Lands |
| Leek | Forgotten Lands |
| Pumpkin | Forgotten Lands |

Now, let’s talk about bonus crops. These are special crops that emit a fascinating and intense, glowing orange light when you harvest them. When this happens, you can harvest as many of the crop in that hole as you want for a limited amount of time. It’s like hitting the jackpot!
But that’s not all. While you’re harvesting the bonus crop, your energy bar will temporarily stop going down, and it will appear yellow. So not only do you get extra crops, but you also get a boost of energy!

Now, let’s talk about which crops you should grow. Each crop has its own unique characteristics, such as seed price, time to grow, and selling price. To help you make an informed decision, here’s a table with the stats of each crop:
| Crop | Seed Price | Time to Grow | Amount per Harvest | Selling Price | Energy |

As you can see, each crop has its own value. If you want to create a farm for when you’re AFK during the night, Pumpkins are what you should aim for. Even though they take four hours to grow, there’s a lot of profit to be made afterward.

Lastly, let’s talk about Wall-E’s garden. Wall-E is the perfect companion to give the gardening profession to. To unlock Wall-E’s garden, you need to increase your friendship with him and complete his missions. Once he’s returned to the Valley, he’ll ask you to help him repair the garden in Peaceful Meadow.
To repair the garden, you have to craft one trellis (three soil, 15 softwood, two white & pink falling penstemon) and three burlap bags (ten soil, 20 fiber). Then, you’ll need five sugarcane seeds and five wheat seeds. Once you hand in and complete his request, the garden will be repaired and back in business.
Just like Goofy’s Stalls and Moana’s Boat, you can upgrade the garden to make more spots for crops and consume less energy when using it. So make sure to check the garden from time to time and harvest whatever you see has grown. As you unlock more crops, Wall-E will plant more during his spare time.
Now that you’re armed with all this farming knowledge, go out there and create the most amazing farm in Disney Dreamlight Valley!
