Welcome to the charming town of Azoria! But hold on, your journey here wasn’t a walk in the park. The pesky whirlpools made it quite the hassle. And guess what? You’re not alone in facing their wrath. The townsfolk have been suffering too! But fear not, in this Fae Farm guide, we’ll help you clear those whirlpools and restore peace to Azoria.
Step One: Embrace the Saltwater Adventure!
Once you’ve completed a few quests and sweet-talked Cleo into granting you access to the Saltwater Mines, your heroic quest to find the source of the whirlpools begins! No matter how you do it, whether it’s gathering seals or racing for buttons, venture all the way through the treacherous Saltwater Mines to reach the final floor.
And guess who you’ll find there? Neppy, a gigantic creature introducing themselves as the Water Sprite. Neppy is shocked to learn about the havoc caused by the whirlpools in Azoria and agrees to stop creating them, but on one condition…
Step Two: Whip Up a Feast for Neppy!
Being a lonely Sprite locked deep within the mines, Neppy craves companionship. They are willing to put an end to the whirlpools if you make them a delectable dinner and dine together. Neppy has a taste for culinary delights, and you’ll need to prepare the following dishes for them:
- Five Steamed Fish
- Three Sardines
- 20 Diced Roots
- Ten Sand Dollars
- Ten Corals
Sand Dollars and Corals are a breeze to find on the beach. Go ahead and collect as many as you can. Now, for Diced Roots, you’ll need a Prep Table. Whip one up at your Homestead using Beech Lumber, a Copper Ingot, Stone Bricks, and Oak Lumber. Once you’ve set up the table, select a root vegetable from the list and watch the magic happen. Turnips are a great choice for this dish.

To find the elusive Sardines, grab your fishing gear and head to Stay-A-While Bay. Patience is key because these little fishies can be quite rare. With your Cooking Hearth, which you can construct at the Homestead using Beech Lumber, Stone Bricks, Clay Bricks, and Copper Ingots, you’re ready to prepare the pièce de résistance—Steamed Fish! This recipe requires one Fish Fillet and two Fresh Greens.
Step Three: Banish the Whirlpools and Embrace New Beginnings!
Once you’ve gathered all the goodies Neppy requested, head back down to Floor 25 of the Saltwater Mines. There, in front of Neppy, surrounded by the pillars, you’ll find a pool of water where you can place the meals. You can give the items to Neppy one by one as you find them, or wait until you have everything. Neppy’s not fussy!
After handing over the items, Neppy will invite you to return the following morning to enjoy the feast together. Spend the rest of the day however you please. When morning arrives, get ready for an enchanting cutscene! Watch as you and Neppy team up to put an end to the whirlpools. As a token of gratitude, Neppy will even teach you the powerful Vortex spell. With this spell, you can blow your enemies away in combat or effortlessly harvest crops in the field.
